Guest Lecture on "Experimental Psychology" at LAN/USJ

A group of Psychology major students attended at a guest lecture and had an interactive visit of the USJ Laboratory of Applied Neurosciences.



The Laboratory of Applied Neurosciences at the University of Saint Joseph (LAN/USJ) presented a guest lecture to students from Bachelor of Psychology studying the “Experimental Psychology” module, on February 9, 2023.

During the guest lecture, Prof. Alexandre Lobo, introduced the LAN’s objective, research, and collaborations, followed by a tour of the Lab and a presentation of the available tools such as EEG devices, Multiple webcam eye-tracking solutions, Fixed Eye Tracker Station, Eye Tracking Glasses, and Facial Expressions Recognition and Emotions Classification. The attending students had the opportunity to watch a demonstration on the different gadgets and experience it by themselves.

Besides broadening students’ horizons about the currently available tools for conducting simple experiments for the module, this visit has also increased students’ interest in experimental research in the future.
