The USJ’s Teacher Professional Development Centre has
forged new partnerships with Colégio de Santa Rosa de Lima – Secção Inglesa, Colégio Diocesano de São José (1)-(4), and Colégio Diocesano de São José (5).
On 21st July, the Teacher Professional Development Centre (TPDC) at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) and three schools joined forces for a collaborative kick-off meeting to inaugurate a groundbreaking project aimed at developing English learning materials for General Studies at the primary-school level in Macao.
The TPDC has forged partnerships with Colégio de Santa Rosa de Lima – Secção Inglesa, Colégio Diocesano de São José (1)-(4), and Colégio Diocesano de São José (5) to develop school-based learning materials of General Studies for primary students. During the meeting, Prof. Rochelle Ge, Dean of the School of Education, extended a warm welcome to the principals and representatives from the participating schools. Following that, the Director of TPDC, Prof. Isabel Tchiang, introduced the project and highlighted its objectives and significance. Ms. Olga Zinampan and Ms. Niko Lo from Colégio de Santa Rosa de Lima – Secção Inglesa then presented an example session of lesson plan design, sharing their experiences and insights on creating inspiring learning resources.
The participants engaged in fruitful discussions, exchanging ideas and experiences, expressing their belief that the project would thrive through the dedication and participation of all teachers. They hold high hopes for a collective effort to expedite the creation of excellent teaching materials for this significant project.
