The University of Saint Joseph Macao signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Scientific Research Institute Bento Da Rocha Cabral (IRC) in Lisbon, Portugal on June 23, 2023.
The University of Saint Joseph Macao (USJ) and the Scientific Research Institute Bento Da Rocha Cabral (IRC) in Lisbon, Portugal, represented by Rector Rev. Prof. Stephen Morgan and Director Prof. Dr Manuel Diamantino Pires Bicho, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) remotely on June 23, 2023.
This collaboration’s main objective is the implementation of joint research projects focusing on organising joint scientific, technical, and pedagogical events, such as conferences, exhibitions, workshops, seminars and short courses to disseminate science and technologies initiatives. Similarly, designing and implementing partnerships in various domains of interest may attract new audiences and actions that enable minority access and less privileged audiences.
Bento da Rocha Cabral Institute is the oldest Portuguese private institution dedicated to Scientific Research. The Bento da Rocha Cabral is a Scientific Research Institute in the area of Biomedical Sciences, covering topics such as Genetics and Biochemistry. Researchers and postgraduate students work at the Institute.
The Institute is home to the Portuguese Society of Biology, the Portuguese Center for the Study of Hypertension in Pregnancy and the Portuguese Human Papillomavirus Society. There is also a section dedicated to the History and Philosophy of Science. The Institute is a non-profit public institution concerned with communication and scientific dissemination.
