The FBL Masters’ Talk “ESG and CSR: Practices in the Greater Bay Area” Roundtable organised by the Faculty of Business and Law will take place on October 23 in the Don Bosco Auditorium.



About the Talk:

This roundtable is part of the USJ Faculty of Business and Law (FBL) series of Masters’ Talks, targeting its master’s students. The talks provide students with a platform to engage and discuss with industry experts on emerging topics in their field of study. At this roundtable, business leaders of enterprises in the Greater Bay Area will share their experiences and expertise in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices. The panel discussion focuses on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) that enterprises encounter when investing in ESG and CSR projects.

About the Speakers:

Mr. Timas Liu, EMBA (CUHK), MSc, MCIM,
General Manager, Willey Printing Limited

Mr. Timas Liu is an accomplished entrepreneur, commenced his business endeavors at a remarkable age of 17. With a diverse portfolio, he currently invests in and oversees numerous companies operating across multiple locations, including Hong Kong, China, Vancouver, and Malaysia. These companies span a wide range of industries, encompassing business consultation, branding, design, event management, manufacturing, and properties.

In addition to his entrepreneurial pursuits, Timas contributes his expertise as a part-time marketing lecturer at the School of Continuing and Professional Studies, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). His commitment to education enables him to share his knowledge and insights with aspiring professionals.

Notably, Timas’s accomplishments extend beyond his business and academic roles. He has held significant leadership positions, including serving as the former chairman of The Lions Club of Hong Kong North and BNI EMPIRE chapter, showcasing his dedication to community service and networking.

Ms. Stephanie Zhao, MA,
Associate Director of Sustainability, Sands China Ltd.

Ms. Stephanie Zhao has been working in sustainability for nearly 14 years. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of working on a variety of exciting projects, including improving lighting performance projects, waste management systems and team member/stakeholder engagement. She is particularly proud to be leading the team to achieve the Macao Green Hotel Award, especially the Macao Green Hotel Platinum Award for Venetian, and to be in charge of the Sands ECO360 ambassador program. Additionally, she is leading the initiatives to minimize single-use plastic, such as implementing a one bin office campaign. 

Currently, as the leader of Sands China’s sustainability team, Stephanie is responsible for setting the vision and strategy for sustainability initiatives and overseeing their implementation. She is passionate about sustainability and am committed to making a positive impact on the environment and society. She believes that sustainability is not just a buzzword, but a crucial part of ensuring a better future for generations to come. She looks forward to continuing to work towards this goal and making a difference in the world.
