The Year of Prayer Lecture Series “St Teresa of Avila – Teacher of Prayer” by Fr. Eduardo Emilio Agüero, SCJ (Dehonian Missionary), will take place on October 27 in the Costal Hall of Sé Cathedral.
About the Talk:
This lecture will delve into the meaning of mental prayer for St. Teresa of Jesus and explore how it can enhance spiritual and Christian lives. The presentation will draw on two main works of St. Teresa: “The Life of St. Teresa de Avila” (her autobiography) and “The Inner Castle.
About the Speaker:
Fr. Eduardo Emilio Agüero, SCJ (Dehonian Missionary)
- Adjunct Assistant Professor, FRSP-USJ
- Member of the Congregation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart (SCJ)
- Ordained priest on 10th October, 1987
- He was a missionary in the Philippines for 19 years, serving 15 years as a formator of Aspirants, Postulants, and Scholastics (1989-2008)
- Appointed to carry out formation work in Argentina for 6 years (2008-2013)
- Member of the founding group in Macau-Hong Kong (2014-today)
- MA in Guidance and Counseling (Xavier University)
- MA in Christian Spirituality (Creighton University)
- Licentiate in Theology (specialisation in Sacred Scriptures) (Catholic University of Buenos Aires)
- PhD in Theology (specialisation in Sacred Scriptures) (Catholic University of Buenos Aires)
