From 25th to 28th October, 2024, a USJ Delegation led by Vice-Rector Professor Zhang Shuguang joined other Macao Higher Education Institution leaders in the DSEDJ academic outreach tour in Ho Chi Minh City.
Aiming to enrich the international student population of Macao and positioning the Special Administrative Region to gain prominence as a study abroad destination, DSEDJ organises each year outreach tours with the local higher education institutions to various target countries. During this official trip to Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam, USJ Vice-Rector for External Affairs and Institutional Development, Professor Zhang Shugang, Head of Vietnam Recruitment Ms. Ivy Tran and Ms. Jenny Hong from the International Affairs Office engaged with local academics, leaders and members through visits to the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE), Ho Chi Minh City Chinese Education Association and the General Consulate of China in Ho Chi Minh City. With increased efforts in promoting exchange opportunities between Macao and Vietnam, the visits were meaningful and served as a gesture of goodwill for the higher education institutions to further develop collaborations of mutual interest.
