USJ held an end-of-semester farewell party, sharing cultural warmth and fostering friendship through a traditional Chinese hotpot experience.

Recently the Office for Student and Alumni Affairs (OSAA) together with the International Affairs Office (IAO) and with the sponsor of the Macao Foundation, jointly organised a meaningful “End-of-Semester and Farewell Party for Exchange Students”. This event is a heartfelt farewell to students who were soon to leave the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) and served as a bridge between Chinese and foreign cultures, allowing exchange students to experience Chinese cultural characteristics in a joyful atmosphere.

The atmosphere of the event was warm and vibrant, with a cozy setup. A traditional Chinese hotpot was prepared as the main course for dinner. Students gathered around the hotpot, eating and chatting, creating a warm and harmonious atmosphere. Each food in the hotpot and various types of hotpots from different regions of China were introduced to the exchange students, allowing them not only to taste but also to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of Chinese food culture.

This farewell party not only deepened friendships among students but also allowed exchange students to experience the unique charm of Chinese culture in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. Through such activities, to increase their interest and passion for Chinese culture and become ambassadors for cultural exchange between China and other countries, spreading the essence of Chinese culture worldwide.

USJ will continue to organize cultural exchange activities, and provide opportunities for our students to interact with people from different cultural backgrounds, enabling them to grow together through mutual learning and understanding.
