University of Saint Joseph and Shanghai Ocean University Establish Partnership

This partnership aims to enhance educational and research opportunities in the field of marine biology for both institutions.
The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) and Shanghai Ocean University (SHOU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the 27th of November, 2024, during the opening session of the 5th Annual Meeting of the International Joint Research Center of Marine Biology established between SHOU and the University of the Algarve, held at the Don Bosco Auditorium of the USJ Ilha Verde Campus.
The MoU was signed by the Rector of USJ, Rev’d Prof. Stephen Morgan and the SHOU Vice-President Yi Luo, and witnessed by Ms. Cen Jiayi, Director of the Higher Education Division of the Education and Youth Work Department – Liason Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao S.A.R., Mr. Cheang Kun Wai, Member of the Administrative Committee, The Science and Technology Development Fund of the Macao S.A.R., and Mr. Alexandre Leitão, Consul General of Portugal in Macau and Hong Kong.
This partnership aims to enhance educational and research opportunities in the field of marine biology for both institutions, and it outlines key areas of collaboration which includes exchange of academic staff and joint research initiatives.
