A series of mentorship and networking sessions for graduating students were held between May 13 – 14.
A series of mentorship and networking sessions for the graduating students of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Class of 2021, were held between May 13 – 14, 2021.
The programme was organised by the Office for Student and Alumni Affairs (OSAA) with the support of Faculty representatives to facilitate an easier transition to the professional world and build a relationship with alumni and a community of mentors from their chosen career fields.
The first session on Thursday, May 13, saw the gathering and participation of both Psychology and Social Work students with the presence of Prof. Elisa Monteiro, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Education (FSSE); Prof. Michael Lai, Coordinator for the Master of Social Work Programme; Prof. Helen Liu, Social Work Department; and Ms. Vicky Ho, USJ alumna and Director of União Geral das Associações dos Moradores de Macau.
The second session on Friday, 14 May, was open to all graduating students from the Faculty of Art and Humanities (FAH), with the presence of Prof. Gerald Estadieu, Head of the Department of Creative Industries; Prof. José Simões, Programme Coordinator for the Master and Bachelor in Communication and Media; Prof. Filipa Martins, Programme Coordinator for the Master and Bachelor in Design and Fashion Design; and Ms. Celia Lei Choi I, USJ alumna.
Both evenings concluded with a brief introduction of the first USJ-owned online networking platform USJ Connect.
