Yao Jingming, was the Deputy Director of the Cultural Institute of Macao. He is now the Head of the Department of Portuguese at the University of Macau, a full professor, a member of the Chinese Writers’ Association, and a member of the Portuguese Pen Society.

He has published more than ten translations and creative writing works in Chinese and Portuguese, including Selected Modern Portuguese Poems, Selected Poems of Sophia, Selected Chinese and Portuguese Poems of Macau, Selected Poems of Andrade, Momentary Travel, When Fish Close Their Eyes and Lemon on the Sea. He was awarded the 14th Rou Gang Poetry Prize and the Order of the Sword of Santiago by the President of Portugal.
