USJ Delegation visits Taipei Economic and Cultural Office on 28th December 2016

On December 28, 2016, a USJ delegation consisting of Pro-Rector Vincent Cheng Yang, Registrar Jenny Lao Phillips and Assistant Manager Amy Lee visited the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Macau. The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Lu Chang-Shui, Director General, and Ms. Lee Pei Ju, Director. Pro-Rector Yang conveyed Rector Fr. Peter Stilwell’s greetings to the host. He then gave an introduction to USJ’s historical origins, its features of internationalization, the university management team, compositions of professors and students, faculties and the research institute as well as the main teaching programs. Registrar Lao and Ms. Amy Lee made additional comments. Director General Lu and Director Lee welcomed the first meeting with senior management of USJ, which led to a better understanding of the nature of USJ as a university and her academic characteristics. They were also pleased to know that USJ has built and maintained contacts with Fu Jen Catholic University and other universities in Taiwan. The Office, they said, will provide assistance to help USJ develop cooperation and exchanges with universities in Taiwan.
