USJ is an associate entity of UCP.

Founded in 1967, UCP was recognised in 1971 by the Portuguese State as a free, autonomous institution of public utility. It was the first modern Portuguese university not to be founded by the State, but as a result of the Concordat between the Portuguese government and the Vatican, which established the University under the tutelage of the Catholic Church.

kadenzelogoKadenze is massive open online course (MOOC) provider that offers courses geared towards art, music, and creative technology, fields which are falling behind others like computer science in terms of the number of courses offered.

USJ cooperates with Kadenze in the delivery of online courses related to the creative industries to students around the world.

aseflogoThe Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) is an intergovernmental not-for-profit organisation located in Singapore. Founded in 1997, it is the only institution of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM). Its purpose is to promote mutual understanding and cooperation between the people of Asia and Europe through intellectual, cultural, and people-to-people exchanges.

USJ and ASEF are in partnership to organise the “Culture and Creative Hub Net” Project to establish a new network of Cultural and Creative Hubs between Asia and Europe.

artech_international_logo2The Artech International Association has its roots on the Artech (Art and Technology Industries in the frontier Region Minho–Galicia) Initiative. This Initiative was established in 2002, concentrating local activities around the topic of digital art to promote a community of digital artists in the border region of Minho-Galiza, while establishing an experimental common creative design space for artists.

USJ works with Artech International to organise the annual ARTECH International Conference on Digital Arts, promoting interest in current digital culture and its intersection with art and technology.

ieemlogoThe Institute of European Studies of Macau (IEEM) is part of the Government’s strategy aiming at promoting the Internationalisation of Macau and the training of senior staff, having in view cooperations with Europe. IEEM’s major purpose is to function as a bridge between the European Union and the Asia-Pacific Region where Macao is located.

USJ is one of its active partners, participating in the Institute’s activities and contributing to the definition of its yearly program and the approval of its operational budget.

It is the only international group uniting all branches of the travel and tourism industry. Its members, the industry’s managers and executives, meet at local, national, regional and international levels to discuss and pursue topics of common interest.
logo-bbamThe British Chamber of Commerce in Macao (formerly known as British Business Association of Macao) was launched on the 20th of July 2006 and was established to promote and represent British business interests in the region. The Association acts as a conduit between government and business in both Macao and the UK, whilst creating business, networking and learning opportunities.
DYMagicDYMagic is a brand strategic planning company established in 2009 in Guangdong. The scope of its activities includes brand planning, industrial design, packaging design, print advertising, web design, video production, media promotion, continuous development of production, teaching and research, etc.

USJ has organised promotions, research and training related with the 6th Xingshi-Cup with DYMagic.

The United Chinese School Committees’ Association of Malaysia (Dong Zong) was formed by the Association of Chinese School Management Boards or the Association of Chinese School Management Boards and Teachers of each state in Malasiya. After its establishment in 1954, Dong Zong has worked closely with the United Chinese School Teachers’ Association of Malaysia (Jiao Zong) to strive for the ethnic rights of the Chinese community. Bound by their common agenda against unequal policies, these two major leading organisations for Chinese Education soon became close allies, and together were then named “Dong Jiao Zong”. 

Dong Jiao Zong has firmly established its image as the spokesperson for Chinese Education in Malaysia and the leading organisation for Chinese-community-run education.

The Macao Scientific and Cultural Centre in Lisbon (CCCM) is a public institute under the Portuguese Ministry of Science, Technology, and Higher Education dedicated to the study and teaching of the Chinese language, culture, and history, and a centre for research and advanced continuous training on the relations between Portugal and China, and between Europe and Asia, with the mission of producing, promoting and disseminating knowledge about Macau as a platform between Portugal and the People’s Republic of China, as well as between Europe and Asia.

USJ and CCCM are establishing an Academic Hub at CCCM’s premises to provide academic facilities for USJ staff and students in Lisbon and a base for USJ’s business incubator, Macao Spin, in Portugal.

Established in 1979, the Chinese Teachers (Thailand) Association is a community of close to 1000 Chinese language teachers and has connections with 100+ Chinese institutions. The Association aims to elevate Chinese teaching in Thailand, promote research and training to its teachers, and foster academic interest in the Chinese language. From summer camps to scholarship programs, the Association with its partners have preserved the traditional exchanges and cooperation between China and Thailand in areas of culture, education, science and technology. 
 

Foon Yew High School, founded in 1913, is the largest Chinese independent secondary school in Malaysia. With 3 campuses across Malaysia and a total of 11,000 students and teachers, the main languages of instruction are Chinese, Malay and English and a graduation cohort of around 1,600 each year.

USJ collaborates with Foon Yew High School in providing scholarship and study opportunities for students.

United Nations University (UNU) is a global think tank and postgraduate teaching organization, whose mission is to contribute, through collaborative research and education, to efforts to resolve the global pressing issues of peace, security, and sustainable development that are the concern of the United Nations, its people and Member States. 
 
The UNU Global Al Network is a multi-stakeholder network to promote the safe and effective usage of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other emerging digital technologies to accelerate
progress toward sustainable development, while ensuring that Al is responsible, inclusive, and fair for all, particularly for the Global South. 
 
USJ has joined other members in signing the UNU Global AI Network Pledge as a commitment to join the UNU Global Al Network, and to collaborate with other members to achieve the purposes above.

The Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry was founded in 1978. It is a non-profit private entity devoted to the development of economic and commercial relations between Portugal and the People’s Republic of China. The central mission of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Luso-Chinese (CCILC) is to promote and protect the interests of its associates.

CCILC also provides qualified technical support to help its member companies operate more efficiently, securely, and informedly in China. They offer information on business opportunities, trade data, and events and exhibitions; access to legislation and regulations; the organization of events and conferences to facilitate networking; market research and studies; support for official and business delegations; interpretation and translation services; and assistance with legal, tax, and commercial consulting. USJ Macao cooperates with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Luso-Chinese (CCILC) with the aim of building collaborations between both parties in order to enhance the partnership and make it more accessible for USJ organic Units, professors and students to learn more about the industry involved with the CCILC.

Sheree is accredited by the Portuguese IAPMEI and is a member of the RNI, the National Network of Incubators. It aims to support innovative, technology-based companies through mentoring services to develop scalable business models for different markets. It promotes sustainable entrepreneurship through a culture of active citizenship, strengthening ties with society and contributing to a more responsible and dynamic innovation ecosystem.

Sheree and the University of Saint Joseph are committed to upholding the entrepreneurial ecosystem between Macao, China, the countries of Southeast Asia, the Portuguese-speaking countries and America through the academic hub and project incubator in Lisbon, the Macau Academic Hub and Project Incubator, which, by linking China and Southeast Asia through the University’s incubation ecosystem, aims to serve the international student community, researchers and entrepreneurs, in all areas of knowledge and activity, as an international centre for academic, scientific, educational, cultural and entrepreneurial cooperation, linking Asia, Europe, Portuguese-speaking countries and Latin America, through the Macau-Portugal axis.

Confederação Empresarial da Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa (CE-CPLP) was founded on 4 July 2004. It is an organisation that aims to develop cooperation between the associative representation structures of the member countries of the CPLP in order to create the conditions for the development of business in the economic areas where the countries of that community are located. The CE-CPLP is active in various business sectors, and its genesis is the creation of new business opportunities.

The affiliations of the University of Saint Joseph with CE-CPLP are to position and extend its expertise from the Greater Bay Area to the business communities of the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries and promote an inclusive and collaborative approach to sustainable development.

Câmara Municipal da Marinha Grande is a Portuguese city in the district of Leiria in the province of Extremadura, which is part of the Community Intermunicipal of Leiria Region in the centre of Portugal. The municipality is subdivided into three parishes.

Agrupamento de Escolas Marinha Grande Poente, was created on 1 April 2013 as a result of the merger of the vast majority of schools that were part of the Guilherme Stephens School Group with the Engenheiro Acácio Calazans Duarte Secondary School (except the Engenho Primary School and the Boavista Kindergarten, which for geographical reasons became part of the Marinha Grande Nascente School Group)

The University of Saint Joseph and Municipality of Marinha Grande in Portugal and the School Division of Marinha Grande Poente signed a cooperation agreement to provide the citizens of the Portuguese Municipality of Marinha Grande and Macao with opportunities and experiences aimed at their personal and professional development, particularly for high school graduates from the Municipality of Marinha Grande integrated and the academic community of USJ Macao.

Fundação AEP was established on 19 November 2009 and recognised by Order no. 13077/2010, published in the Diário da República, 2nd series, on 13 August 2010. Its head office and domicile is at Avenida da Boavista, 2671, in the city of Porto

The Fundação AEP has extensive experience developing projects and initiatives to promote entrepreneurship in various areas. The foundation focused on solidifying its activities on themes relevant to the development of Portugal, such as the Transfer of Knowledge and Technology and the role of the Diaspora as a platform for Portugal’s affirmation in the world and the growth of our exports.

The partnership between the University of Saint Joseph and the Fundação AEP aims to develop an educational Hub to promote collaboration in academic programmes such as data sciences and artificial intelligence, health, management, economic development and environmental sciences, in both short-term and long-term initiatives.

Myanmar Study Abroad (Center for Academic Advising and University Preparation) was founded in support of potential young leaders from Myanmar and marginalised communities to access quality education and professional development opportunities. The association also provides an array of accessible services including GED testing centres across Myanmar and Thailand, standardised exam preparations, student mentorship as well as curriculum and scholarship resources.
Guangdong Huafa Zhongjian New Technology Investment Holding Co., Ltd. was incorporated on November 11, 2015, was funded by Zhuhai Huafa Industrial Co., Ltd. and the First Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau.

In accordance with the 14th Five Year Plan “Building Energy Efficiency and Green Building Development Plan”, the company will promote the development quality of green buildings, improve the level of building energy efficiency, strengthen the green transformation of building energy efficiency, and promote new green construction methods as the development goal, and contribute to the professional development of modern building industrialisation in South China of the Pearl River Delta and Hong Kong Macao Bay Area.
