The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) held its 2021 Post-Graduate Diploma in Education Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, 26th June.
The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) held its 2021 Post-Graduate Diploma in Education Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, 26th June, at the Auditório Centenário de Fátima in USJ Ilha Verde Campus, with a total of 197 students graduating this year, including 59 students from the English Programme and 138 from the Chinese Programme.
The ceremony was officiated by the Rector of USJ, Rev. Prof. Stephen Morgan. During remarks, Rector congratulated and encourage the students saying that “Society, Macao, China needs men and women with your commitment to be the teachers of this and forthcoming generations, to shape in a very particular way the minds and characters of those children you will teach.”.
The Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) prepares students to become effective and culturally sensitive primary or secondary school teachers. The year-long programme explores different educational theories, concepts and perspectives within the field of teaching, curriculum development and evaluation, educational psychology, and communication technology.
Following the PGDE Graduation Ceremony, the USJ Congregation 2021 will be taking place on the 3rd July 2021 at 10:30am at the Macao Tower.
