The University of Saint Joseph congratulates the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries on its 25th anniversary, celebrated on July 17th.
The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) congratulates the Community of Portuguese-speaking Countries (Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa – CPLP) on its 25th anniversary, celebrated this past Saturday, July 17th.
Created in 1996, CPLP is a privileged forum for multilateral consultation and cooperation amongst the Portuguese-speaking countries.
USJ, as a CPLP Consultative Observer since 2017, and with the support of its many students and staff from Portuguese-speaking countries, assists in the promotion and dissemination of the Portuguese language in China.
This is accomplished not only through USJ’s Pre-University, Associate Diploma, Bachelor and Master programmes, but also through its Pre-University, Associate Diploma, Bachelor and Master programmes, but also through Lifelong Learning Office’s Portuguese Language & Culture courses and the organisation and hosting of educational and cultural events and activities.
USJ also participates in regional and international activities that nurture and support this aim, such as the 4th Chinese-Portuguese World Translation Contest, where our students won the second-place prize in the “Special Award for Macao Universities Teams” among the more than 200 participating teams.
USJ wishes CPLP many more years of success!
A Universidade de São José (USJ) congratula a Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa (CPLP) pelo 25.º aniversário, celebrado no passado Sábado, dia 17 de Julho.
Criada em 1996, a CPLP é um fórum privilegiado para consulta e cooperação multilateral entre os países de Língua Portuguesa.
A USJ, como Observador Consultivo da CPLP desde 2017, e com o apoio dos seus vários alunos e pessoal docente e não-docente oriundo de Países de Língua Portuguesa, assiste na promoção e disseminação da Língua Portuguesa na China.
Este feito é conseguido não só através dos cursos Pré-Universitário, de Diploma Associado, de Licenciatura e Mestrado, mas também através dos cursos de Língua & Cultura Portuguesas do Lifelong Learning Office e a organização e acolhimento de eventos e atividades educacionais e culturais.
A USJ também participa em actividades regionais e internacionais que promovem e apoiam este objectivo, tal como o 4.º Concurso Mundial de Tradução Chinês-Português, onde os nossos alunos alcançaram o segundo lugar no “Prémio Especial para Equipas de Universidades de Macau”, de entre as mais de 200 equipas concorrentes.
