The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) participated in the “Sands China Employee Day” as one of the exhibitors in the Education Exhibition Area.
The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) was invited to participate in the “Sands China Employee Day” as one of the exhibitors in the Education Exhibition Area held at the Venetian Convention and Exhibition Center from 20 to 24 September, 2o021.
Several other local higher education and continuing education institutions, offering Sands China employees with more than 26,000 undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses and the latest continuing education courses. On-site consulting services were also available to encourage employees to continue to pursue or further their studies to improve their professional skills.
Prof. Douty Diakité of the Faculty of Business and Law (FBL) at USJ, was also invited to give a lecture on workplace training to Sands China employees and to introduce the courses offered at FBL.
The opening ceremony of the “Sands China Employee Day” was held on 20 September at the Venetian Turin Conference Hall. Senior Vice President of Human Resources of Sands China, Wen Hongyan, welcomed and thanked all the participating institutions for their support in his speech. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Mr. Gong Zhiming, Deputy Director of the Education and Youth Development Bureau, and representatives of various higher education institutions.
Head of Communication and Public Relations Office (CPRO), Ms Isadora Leung, attended the ceremony on behalf of USJ.
