Two USJ students were awarded by the Association of Volunteers of Social Service in Macau, for their efforts in volunteer work.
The United Nations (UN) International Volunteer Day, is celebrated on the 5th of December every year to recognise and promote the tireless work of volunteers across the globe.
This year, the Association of Volunteers of Social Service in Macau celebrated the day by organising an award ceremony for local volunteers from universities, social services suppliers, and companies. The event aims to motivate volunteers to continue contributing their love and kindness to society. The event was held at the Macau Pou Tai Social Comprehensive Service Building.
Around 60 volunteers were nominated by their own institutions, including 2 USJ students: Abubakar Sadik Abdullah, from Bachelor of Social Work Year 3, nominated by OSAA, and Wilson, Tang Chi Fong, from Bachelor of Social Work Year 2, nominated by the General Volunteer Association of Macau.
