The USJ FSSE conducted an open forum as part of the “Connecting Society” initiatives at the Saint Paul School on 28 February, 2022.
On the 28th of February 2022, the USJ Faculty of Social Sciences and Education (FSSE) conducted an open forum as part of the “Connecting Society” initiatives at the Saint Paul School high school in Macao.
Prof. Jacky Ho, Head of the Department of Social Work, and Prof. Andrew Ng from the department of social work presented and shared their knowledge and insight on the topic of “Visioning a Better Society” to 161 students, intending to engage them in thinking and dialogue on the different social issues currently happening in the local society and the world. The professors also hoped to inspire them to choose their path based on value and altruism.
The sharing session was well received and the students were engaging. This forum will continue throughout the year and is aligned with the mission of the University in bringing positive impact to our society and to the young generation of Macao.
FSSE hopes to share more with local primary and secondary school students, to jointly nurture the next generation with greater social responsibility for Macao.
