Mangroves Talk in GEG Macao in Celebration of World Water Day

To celebrate the World Water Day, Galaxy Entertainment Group hosted a series of activities, including an invited Talk by Prof. Karen Arano Tagulao of ISE/USJ, on March 23, 2022.
To celebrate the World Water Day, Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) hosted a series of activities, including an invited Talk by Prof. Karen Arano Tagulao of the Institute of Science and Environment (ISE) at USJ, on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.
In her talk, attended by GEG team members and executives, Prof. Tagulao shared about the value of mangroves for remediation of coastal water pollution, as well as their valuable role in climate change adaptation and mitigation (coastline protection, blue carbon) for coastal cities like Macao. She also emphasized the importance of collaborating with the community, including industries like GEG, for the protection and conservation of local ecosystems like the mangroves.
This talk aligns with SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), 13 (Climate Action), 14 (Life Below Water) and 15 (Life on Land).
