On 13 April 2022, the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) paid a courtesy visit to the to the Chairman of Executive Committee of he Companhia de Electricidade de Macau – CEM, S.A. (CEM), Mr. Bernie Leong.
On the 13th of April 2022, a delegation of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) led by the Rector Reverend Professor Stephen Morgan, Administrator Dr. Alejandro Salcedo Garcia, and Director of the Office for Student and Alumni Affairs (OSAA) Ms. Teresa Loong, paid a courtesy visit to the Companhia de Electricidade de Macau – CEM, S.A. (CEM).
The USJ representatives were warmly welcomed by the Senior Management team of CEM, including Chairman of Executive Committee Mr. Bernie Leong, Principal Advisor to the Executive Committee and USJ’s MBA alumnus Mr. Benjamin Yue, and Director of the Human Resources and Sustainability Department Mr. Keegan Cheang.
During the meeting, Rector Morgan expressed his appreciation and gratitude to CEM for their ongoing support and generosity to the USJ Community Scholarships and Fellowships Programme, which means a lot to the students. It is a recognition of what USJ is and what it does.
Chairman Leong also emphasised the importance of CEM in assisting the students, enabling them to continue their work upholding good corporate social responsibility, and is delighted to continue its support for this programme.
The meeting was followed by exchanging ideas on possible future collaboration on student development and CEM staff development. The meeting ended with the presentation of a USJ 25th anniversary souvenir to Chairman Leong.
