The “Research in Psychology Seminar”, an annual initiative associated with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 “Promoting Health and Well-being”, was held on April 21, 2023.

The “Research in Psychology Seminar” held annually by the Department of Psychology of the University’s Faculty of Health Sciences is an initiative associated with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 “Promoting Health and Well-being” with the main aim of showcasing the research being conducted by the Year 4 Bachelor of Psychology students.

Students Angel Fong, Chris Cheang, Erato Lao, Gordon Fong, Karen Liu, and Michael Alfaro gave their Final Presentations, respectively, on Resilience and Subjective Well-Being, Unemployment and Family, Game Addiction and Family, Bedtime Procrastination and Job-Related Anxiety,  Social Anxiety and Peer Relationship, and Emotional Labour and Job Satisfaction.

A networking opportunity with refreshments was also facilitated at the end and students from Years 1 to 3 of the Bachelor programme were able to further discuss plans for their own upcoming research projects whilst getting valuable advice from the Year 4 students.

The Department of Psychology looks forward to continuing to promote both the research being conducted by our students as well as activities highlighting the importance of SDG 3.
