ISE Participates in the Urban Biodiversity and Data Technology Forum 2023, Promoting Macao’s Mangrove Conservation
In conjunction with the International Day for Biological Diversity observed on May 22, the Institute of Science and Environment of USJ (ISE) participated in the Urban Biodiversity and Data Technology Forum 2023 hosted by the United International College (UIC) in Zhuhai on May 20, 2023.
Prof. Karen Tagulao was invited as a Speaker to deliver a Talk on “Biodiversity and Conservation of Macao’s Urban Mangroves: Bridging Science and Education.” This inspiring event was attended by several academics, scientists, students, government officials, NGOs, and community members.
ISE’s active involvement in such initiatives is driven by the shared objective of fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for the invaluable biodiversity within our urban landscapes. This participation also facilitated fruitful collaboration with UIC, with whom ISE has established a partnership.
