Polytechnic Institute of Viseu visits USJ, Anticipates Future Collaborations and Exchange

Representatives from the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu (IPV) visited the USJ Ilha Verde campus on July 12, 2023, to discuss potential collaborations opportunities.
On July 12, 2023, the University of Saint Joseph Macao (USJ) welcomed a delegation from the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu (IPV) Vice-President, Prof. João Vinha, and Head of International Relations Office, Ms. Helena Rodrigues. The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Vice-rector for Internationalisation and Academic Affairs of USJ, Prof. Álvaro Barbosa, and the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law, Prof. Jenny Lao Phillips, during their visit to the USJ Ilha Verde campus.
During the exchange, USJ gained insights on the pillars and goals of IPV as the first public higher education institution in the city of Viseu, a significant cultural and economic hub and municipality in Portugal, and how collaborations in mutually-focused areas may be brought into fruition in the near future. Opportunities in the form of research, joint events, or exchange programmes will be beneficial for both institutions and further outreach and internationalisation efforts.
IPV and USJ are looking forward to attending to attending the 33rd Annual EAIE Conference and Exhibition, a key conference in the internationalisation of higher education, this Fall in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
