A delegation led by Ji Xianzheng, Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) (Forum Macao) visited the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) on 9 January.
A delegation led by Ji Xianzheng, Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) (Forum Macao) visited the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) on 9 January, 2024.
During the visit, the delegation exchanged views with the Vice-Rectors of USJ, Prof. Zhang Shuguang and Dr. Teresa Loong, on promoting cooperation between Macao and Portuguese-speaking countries, recruitment of bilingual students to support in the upcoming Ministerial Conference, and other related situations.
Vice-Rector Zhang said that USJ will fully support and cooperate with this conference, and will endeavour to cultivate quality Chinese-Portuguese bilingual talents for the Macao SAR and the country, as well as to maintain close cooperation and ties with universities in Portuguese-speaking countries through the platforms of various international university consortiums.
Representatives of the Forum Macau who attended the meeting included Secretary-General Mr. Ji Xianzheng; Deputy Secretary-General Ms. Xie Ying; Director of the Administrative Office Ms Florence Lee, and Director of the Auxiliary Office. Ms Mok Yuen Lei. Representatives of the USJ who attended the meeting included Vice-Rector Prof. Zhang Shuguang, Vice-Rector Dr. Teresa Loong, Assistant Professor Ângelo Rafael, Assistant Professor Nuno Rocha, Manager of International Affairs Office Mrs. Ana Paula Mota, and Senior Officer of the Office for Student and Alumni Affairs Mr. Andrew Wong.
