CURB – Center for Architecture and Urbanism is hosting the third edition of the Macau Architectural Photography Competition. The call for submissions is open until Sunday, 16th June.
CURB – Center for Architecture and Urbanism, a long-term partner of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH) at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), is hosting the third edition of Macau Architectural Photography Competition and challenging photography enthusiasts to embark on a journey to rediscover Macau, its buildings, and its spaces, seeking evidence of contrast in architecture.
The competition aims to encourage photographers to look at the surprising and enigmatic side of Macau, where diverse cultures coexist and flourish – a realm of encounters and contradictions, dialogue and obliviousness, where contrast is ever-present. CURB invites contestants for this year’s edition to explore Macau and look for examples of contrast in the city’s architecture.
The competition has two categories – open group and student group – and will offer cash prizes and certificates to the winners. The submission deadline is June 16, 2024. All entries will be evaluated by a panel of experienced judges who will select the best photographs that will feature the winners exhibition.
To enter the competition, participants are invited to upload their photographs through the submission link available on the competition’s website https://competition.curb-center.com/.
The first and second editions of the Macau Architectural Photography Competition were successfully held in 2022 and 2023 and received positive responses and participation from professionals, amateurs, students and the general public. It attracted a total of 395 participants and received a total of 934 works, and the results and gains were remarkable.
