USJ and Catholic Institute of Paris Signs Agreement for Student and Staff Mobility

The agreement was signed at the meeting of the Federation of Catholic Universities of Europe (FUCE) held at Loyola University in Seville, Spain.
At the meeting of the Federation of Catholic Universities of Europe (FUCE), held at Loyola University, Seville, Spain, the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao signed an agreement for student and faculty staff mobility with the Catholic Institute of Paris (ICP). The Director of the International Office of ICP, Dr Daniel Ollivier, noted how important links between France and China had been historically, and hoped that this agreement would allow for fruitful collaborations between the two universities.
USJ Rector, Prof Stephen Morgan was participating in the FUCE general assembly as Vice President of the International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU). He spoke at a plenary session on the role of Catholic universities as honest-brokers of academic collaboration and dialogue. He said that viewed from Asia, the need for that collaboration and dialogue looked like an urgent necessity in an era of renewed geopolitical tensions.

Founded in 1875, the ICP is made up of 6 faculties and welcomes 10,000 students a year, 15% of whom are international, on 3 campuses in Paris, Reims and Rouen. Since 2022, the ICP has held the “Bienvenue en France” (Welcome to France) label awarded by Campus France, the French public body responsible for promoting higher education in France. USJ e Instituto Católico de Paris assinam acordo de mobilidade de estudantes e pessoal docente
Na reunião da Federação das Universidades Católicas da Europa (FUCE), realizada na Universidade de Loyola, em Sevilha, Espanha, a Universidade de São José (USJ) Macau assinou um acordo de mobilidade de estudantes e pessoal docente com o Instituto Católico de Paris (ICP). O Diretor do Gabinete Internacional do ICP, Dr. Daniel Ollivier, salientou a importância histórica dos laços entre a França e a China e fez votos para que este acordo permita colaborações frutuosas entre as duas universidades.
O Reitor da USJ, Prof. Stephen Morgan, participou na assembleia geral da FUCE no âmbito da sua função de Vice-Presidente da Federação Internacional das Universidades Católicas (IFCU). Na sessão plenária, falou sobre o papel das universidades católicas como mediadoras de colaboração e do diálogo académico. Disse que, visto da Ásia, a necessidade dessa colaboração e desse diálogo parece ser uma necessidade urgente numa era de renovadas tensões geopolíticas.
