Vice-Rector of USJ, Prof. Zhang Shuguang, attended the KB120 Health Summit themed “Technology Leading a New Future of Health” held in Baotou, Inner Mongolia.
From the 4th – 7th of August, 2024, Vice-Rector of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), Prof. Zhang Shuguang, was invited to attend the KB120 Health Summit held in Baotou, Inner Mongolia. The conference was themed “Technology Leading a New Future of Health” and was attended by over 30 scientists, scholars, and entrepreneurs involved in the research and development of KB120 cell nutrition technology, including Zhou Hua, Secretary-General of the China Health Management Association, and Wang Dahong, Secretary-General of the Health Products Market Committee of the China Health Association.
During the conference, Vice-Rector Zhang held a working meeting with Co-Dean Dr. Kong Hon and a group of seven Guest Professors and Guest Research Fellows of the USJ-Kong Hon Academy for Cellular Nutrition and Health. The meeting attendees provided an overview of the Academy’s activities since its inception and discussed the upcoming academic year’s work plan. They also reviewed the certification of three KB120 R&D projects planned for implementation by the R&D Institute and engaged in detailed discussions about potential collaborative R&D initiatives with relevant Portuguese universities. The meeting also reviewed the candidates for the Academy’s academic and advisory committees, as proposed by Dr. Kong Hon.
All participants expressed their full support for the Academy’s work. Co-Dean Prof. Jacky Ho was unable to attend the meeting due to other commitments and was represented by Associate Prof. Winnie Shum from the Faculty of Health Sciences of USJ.
