USJ Macao signed a MoU with URL to explore possible avenues of cooperation establishment

The MOU was formally signed via remote means on August 26th 2024, by Rev’d Professor Stephen Morgan, Rector of USJ Macao, and Professor Josep A. Rom Rodriguez, Rector of Ramon Llull University. 



In order to encourage the development of potential joint initiatives, the University of Saint Joseph (USJ Macao) and the Ramon Llull University (URL) in Spain have established a collaborative partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The MOU was formally signed via remote means on August 26th 2024, by Rev’d Professor Stephen Morgan, Rector of USJ Macao, and Professor Josep A. Rom Rodriguez, Rector of Ramon Llull University. 

This partnership was initiated by Prof. Dr. Carlo Maria Gallucci Calabrese, the Vice-rector for International Relations and Students at URL, who had previously met with USJ’s Rector during his visit to Seville, where he attended a meeting of the Federation of Catholic Universities of Europe (FUCE).

This agreement signifies a concerted effort by both universities to foster deeper academic and research collaboration, leveraging their respective strengths and expertise for the mutual benefit of their students and faculty.

Ramon Llull University comprises IQS, Blanquerna, La Salle, Esade, Pere Tarrés Faculty of Social Education and Social Work, Ebro Observatory University Institute, Vidal i Barraquer Mental Health University Institute, Borja Institute of Bioethics and ESDI Higher School of Design (affiliated centre).

Small work groups, close relations between students and faculty, and complete mastery of new technologies represent this university’s unique methodology.
