Dr. Arraut’s research efforts in Colombia underscore the commitment of USJ’s Faculty of Business and Law to fostering international research partnerships in advancing knowledge in complex systems and quantum finance.
Dr. Ivan Arraut from the Faculty of Business and Law (FBL) at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) recently completed a successful research tour in Colombia this summer. His journey included several universities visits, where he engaged in meaningful discussions and delivered lectures aimed at fostering academic collaboration.
On August 8th, 2024, Dr. Arraut visited Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, where he collaborated with Professor Alejandro Perez from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Their discussions centered on collective behavior and complex systems, with a focus on potential applications in quantum finance and collective decision-making. This meeting marks an ongoing research collaboration between the institutions.
Following his visit to Bogotá, Dr. Arraut traveled to Santa Marta, where he delivered a public lecture at Universidad del Magdalena on August 20th. The next day, he presented a seminar at Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla. During these sessions, Dr. Arraut introduced key physical and mathematical tools and proposed solutions to significant challenges in various fields. The lectures aimed to promote new research projects, solidify existing collaborations, and explore specific academic topics.
