Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony between USJ and HKSKH Ming Hua Theological College

USJ Macao and the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui (Anglican) Ming Hua Theological College have entered into an academic partnership to contribute to the formation of students in the area of religious studies.



The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) and the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui (Anglican) Ming Hua Theological College have entered into an academic partnership where both institutions will contribute to the formation of students in the area of religious studies.

The beginning of this new relationship was marked by the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two institutions on 3rd October 2024 during the provincial clergy gathering at St. John’s Cathedral, Hong Kong, with Rector of USJ, Professor Stephen Morgan, and Principal of Ming Hua, Archbishop Paul Kwong, as the signatories, while Father Cyril Law, Diocesan Chancellor of Macau, and Archbishop Andrew Chan, Primate of the Anglican Church in Hong Kong, were present as witnesses.

Since the Doctorate in Religious Studies will serve as the capstone project of this collaboration, Professor Adérito Marcos, Dean of the USJ Doctoral School, gave a presentation on the structure and features of the doctoral programme.
