Oct
The Public Lecture “New Poetic Cinema” organised by the Department of Media, Arts and Technology – Faculty of Arts and Humanities will take place on October 16 in the Don Bosco Auditorium.
About the Talk:
What does cinema in the era of ubiquitous computation and networked planetary existence mean? A new emergent wave of cinematic art is already challenging the paradigm of Cinema by generating new spiritual vortexes. These films circulate through a series of synchronous, decentralized viewing swarms in multiple geo-locations of the planet and are collectively organized online. New Poetic Cinema unfolds the internet’s memetic language and the poesis of online existence, manifesting new forms of kinetic materiality which are the zenith of our times.
