Prof. Helen Liu of the Faculty of Health Sciences was invited to give a talk at the ARTM “Be Cool Project” to promote mental health and prevent the use of drugs for minority communities in Macao.

To strengthen the fruitful partnership with ARTM, Prof Helen Liu, Research Coordinator of the Faculty of Health Sciences, was invited by the ARTM “Be Cool Project” to conduct a workshop on 13 October. The workshop aims to support adults from minority communities living in Macau, such as Filipino, Vietnamese, Indonesian and Myanmar, by providing stress management techniques and resources to help individuals avoid risky behaviours.

The workshop, called ‘Crisis Management & Resilience Building’, focused on topics such as crisis management, building resilience and creating a personal safety plan. It is hoped that it will create a supportive and bonding network for the minority communities and provide education on mental health and substance use prevention.
