USJ Macao joined several local higher education institutions to promote opportunities for Thai prospective students seeking to study abroad in Macao.



The University of Saint Joseph (USJ Macao) participated in the 19th OCSC International Education Expo in Thailand, marking its second consecutive year at this pivotal event. USJ Macao joined several local higher education institutions to promote opportunities for Thai prospective students seeking to study abroad in Macao. This participation follows USJ’s involvement in the 18th OCSC Expo held in October 2023.

The seven Macao higher education institutions were led by Mrs. Hong Wai Man, the Functional Head of the Department of Students of the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ). USJ Macao delegation represented by Prof. Alvaro Barbosa, Vice-Rector for Internationalisation and Academic Affairs, and Ms. Teresinha Fok from the International Affairs Office.

During the expo, both students and parents engaged actively in discussions aimed at identifying suitable academic paths. Notably, an increased number of graduate students participated in the fair this year, seeking opportunities for further study. The programs offered by the USJ Macao in Design, Business, and Environmental Science attracted considerable interest from attendees, reflecting current trends in higher education aspirations. Furthermore, USJ is affirmative to foster potential collaborations with Thailand higher educational institutions. In addition to promoting new partnerships, USJ is also committed to strengthening existing relationships with its Thai partner institutions.

The OCSC EXPO stands as the preeminent international educational gathering within Thailand, attracting a vast audience of over 15,000 attendees. Among these participants are students, scholars, educators, parents, and researchers, collectively converging to explore the diverse realms of academic pursuit.
