USJ Students Participate in the 23rd Macao-wide English Speech Contest

Joshua Añover and Alidoro Chenda, representing the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), received support from English Language Center professors Candy Siu and Duncan Miers.
On October 5, 2024, the Macao Polytechnic University’s MPU-Bell Centre of English hosted the 23rd Macao-wide English Speech Contest and the 30th “21st Century Cup” National English Speaking Competition Macao Regional Contest.
The topic of each contestant’s 4-minute speech was “How to bridge the gap between generations”. Two participants, Joshua Añover and Alidoro Chenda, representing the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), received support from English Language Center professors Candy Siu and Duncan Miers. Both competitors delivered outstanding presentations with great levels of articulation and delivery skill, and they left the event feeling inspired and invigorated.
