Prof. Ivan Arraut from the Faculty of Business and Law (FBL) at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), who teaches subjects in Mathematics for FBL and Physics for the Institute of Science and Environment (ISE) at USJ, participated in the YITP Workshop: Quantum Gravity and Information in Expanding Universe at the Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics (YITP) in Kyoto University from the 17th – 21st February, 2025.
During the workshop, Prof. Arraut delivered a short poster presentation showing his results on “Solving the Dark Energy problem via Symmetry constraint”, the most important problem in cosmology, which was published in the journal Modern Physics Letter A.
The event involved researchers from top institutions, including the King’s College in London, Tsinghua University, Kyoto University, The University of Tokyo, Osaka University, KIAS in Korea, Seoul National University, among others. Several discussions and debates were part of the event. Prof. Arraut established several significant collaborations with several leading professors from top institutions during the event.
The event concluded with a banquet organised by Japanese theoretical physicist Tadashi Takayanagi, a distinguished professor at YITP Kyoto with Post-Doctoral experiences in Harvard University, The University of Tokyo and The University of California Santa Barbara.
