ABOUT THE TALK
In the panorama of the Portuguese poetry of the XX century, Cinatti stands out for his innovative diction and his very human record of an existential journey in search of a transcendent, for him incarnate in Christ. In his experience of the Portuguese Colonies, which he knew well as an anthropologist, botanist and, forest engineer, he distinguish himself by his identification with Timor and the East Timorese, long before the politically correct assertions of postcolonial studies. He also had family connections to Macau.
