2023 “Along with Youth” Forum on SEN and Inclusive Education Development will be held on 9 November, 2023, at the Keng Wong Gallery B1/F.
Inclusive education refers to the inclusion of students with different learning needs, backgrounds and cultures in the education process, encouraging them to learn from, respect and understand each other. At the same time, it enables teaching and learning to be modelled in a way that respects and accommodates groups of students with special learning needs. Schools and teachers need to adopt a variety of strategies and measures to ensure that every student receives appropriate support and assistance. These include the provision of individualised education programmes, supplementary learning resources and equipment, support from special education teachers, community services and social activities. In addition, it is necessary for schools and teachers to actively foster respect and care for students, and to enhance students’ social skills and interactive abilities, so as to create a more inclusive and harmonious learning environment. Such an education model can help students broaden their horizons, develop interpersonal skills and promote social harmony.
The ‘2023 “Along with Youth” Forum on SEN and Inclusive Education Development’ Symposium aims to explore the latest trends, practices and effectiveness of inclusive special education, and to share practical experiences and case studies. Scholars, experts and frontline educators will be invited to give presentations and engage in interactive discussions with a view to promoting the development and dissemination of education.
