Doctoral Talks on Campus: “Research Integrity: Latest Concerns And Challenges” will take place on 27 October at the USJ Conference Room.
ABOUT DOCTORAL TALKS ON CAMPUS:
Fostering transdisciplinary perspectives in thought, research and development in the doctoral and post-doctoral programmes of the University of Saint Joseph in Macao.
ABOUT THE TALK:
This talk seminar will address some of the main today’s concerns related to Research Integrity. Aspects related to avoiding plagiarism, research approval and ethical statement in a research article will be embraced in the presentation. An overall introduction to the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity will be provided, and current discussions with the international research community on reforms in the research assessment.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Dr. Jovan Shopovski is a founding member and president of the European Scientific Institute, ESI since 2010. He is a professor of company law in the Republic of Macedonia.
Dr. Shopovski is also a visiting professor at several Universities worldwide. He delivers in-person and online lectures at Universities in Spain, Italy, Poland, Romania, Macao, Argentina, Indonesia, and Georgia. He is also a program director of the ESI Postdoctoral Program “Social Sciences and Humanities in a Post-crisis Period.” This program networks researchers with different academic backgrounds and academic titles, providing an interdisciplinary approach to contemporary societal challenges. Dr. Shopovski was an advisor and board member at Eurodoc, The European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers, Brussels, Belgium. He is the chairman and member of numerous Scientific and Organizing Committees of various international conferences and forums worldwide and project coordinator of different academic teams. His publications include scientific papers in taxation, entrepreneurship, academic writing, and academic publishing. He practised karate and is actively practising tai chi and meditation. He is also an accredited tennis referee.
