PANELISTS:
Sandra Olga Ka Man Ng is a senior lecturer at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) in Macau, China. Holding a master’s degree in Communication and Media from USJ and finishing a Ph.D. in Global Studies, Sandra’s research focusses on Virtual Reality (VR). Alongside her academic achievements, she has gained extensive experience in Public Relations, Chinese-English translation, digital illustration, and social media communication. Notable among her creative endeavours are VR exhibitions and immersive tours. Sandra is dedicated to mentoring students and contributing to workshops and conferences globally. Her passion for fostering creativity and knowledge exchange is evident in her multifaceted contributions to the intersection of technology, art, and education.
Filipa Martins de Abreu, Ph.D., is an accomplished Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) in Macao, SAR. With a Doctoral Degree in Science and Technology of the Arts (specialisation in Interactive Art) from the Catholic University of Portugal – School of Arts in Porto, a Master’s in Science in Multimedia & Entertainment Technology (MSc) from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University – School of Design, and a Bachelor’s in Communication Design (Portuguese Licenciatura) from the University of Lisbon – Faculty of Fine Arts, Filipa is a dedicated professional with a passion for education and innovation. Filipa is a distinguished faculty member with expertise in various fields, including interaction design, game design, and interactive technologies. She is also a professor, researcher, and designer, focusing on user-centred design, creativity, and meditation methodologies. Filipa’s research interests include exploring the Visual Identity of Macao through patterns and textures in learning environments. With over 18 years of experience in design, art, and technology, she is a strong figure in the fields of design, education, and research.
