The II Asian Studies & Indian Ocean Summer School provides an opportunity for researchers, students, and practitioners to discuss the latest developments and trends in Asian studies and Indian Ocean studies.



The Research Centre for Communication and Culture (CECC) at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, together with the Institute of Asian Studies (IEA), University of Saint Joseph (USJ Macao) and Centro Científico e Cultural de Macau (CCCM), will be hosting the II Asian Studies & Indian Ocean Summer School, from 16 to 18 September, 2024, in Lisbon, Portugal.

The II Asian Studies & Indian Ocean Summer School provides an opportunity for researchers, students, and practitioners to discuss the latest developments and trends in Asian studies and Indian Ocean studies. The three-day programme features panel discussions, workshops, and networking events.

USJ Macao will be participating with seven students and academic staff, including Prof. Rochelle Ge, Prof. Priscilla Roberts, Prof. Denis Zuev, António Wong, Ian Mei Zeng, Bonnie Sin, and Francisco Peixoto, who will present on topics outlined in the programme. In addition, the Rector of USJ, Rev’d Prof. Stephen Morgan, will be delivering a keynote speech.

Registration for the summer school closes on September 9, 2024.
