The Public Lecture “Attachment Based Interventions for Families and Couples”, organised by the Faculty of Health Sciences will take place on May 23 concurrently at Don Bosco Auditorium and through Zoom.
ABOUT THE TALK:
The quality of attachment is associated with the capacity to be enrolled in meaningful relationships and with the ability to negotiate and to balance one’s and other’s needs, competencies identified as crucial in family and couple relationships. Aimed to repair interpersonal ruptures, attachment-based interventions for families and couples focus on fostering emotionally protective and secure relationships between its members, improving autonomy, connectedness, and interaction.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Vânia Sousa Lima (PhD), Assistant Professor at the “Universidade Católica Portuguesa” has developed research on intimate relationships, psychopathology assessment and psychotherapeutic intervention. She is a therapist at the University Psychology Clinic – CUP, where she serves adults, couples and families. She runs the module MCP201 – Family and Marriage Counselling in the USJ’s Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy. Email contact: vania.lima@usj.edu.mo
