The “2024 Macau Secondary Students Model United Nations Conference” was successfully held by the Macau Model United Nations Promotion Association and the Macao Observatory for Social Development at University of Saint Joseph’s Nape Campus on the 20th to 21st April 2024.
The “2024 Macau Secondary Students Model United Nations Conference” was successfully held by the Macau Model United Nations Promotion Association and the Macao Observatory for Social Development at University of Saint Joseph’s Nape Campus on the 20th to 21st April 2024.
During this two-days conference, delegates addressed the urgency and importance of actions to mitigate climate change. They discussed and drafted documents to call for actions for a shared funding system, technology and knowledge support, healthcare, and education of climate refugees.
Dr. Danny Chi Man Leong and Ms. Ana Guo participate in this event as keynote speakers and guest.
Dr. Leong had a fruitful speech on his inspiring work and research on biodiversity and conservation of local species. He also encouraged the audience to take action to protect local species from climate change.
In the closing ceremony, Ms. Ana Guo share with participants about her thoughtful experience of the COP28 summit as an observer. She specifically mentioned their presentation about the Zero-Carbon initiative, which they discussed and exchanged ideas with other participants.
