2024 Summer Student Researcher Training Programme Concludes

The programme aimed to provide academic research opportunities for students in Macau and to enhance their research skills and interest.



On the 17th of August, 2024, the closing ceremony of the “2024 Summer Student Researcher Training Programme” was held. The programme was jointly organised by the Macau Model United Nations Promotion Association (MMUNPA), the Centre for Macau Studies (CMS) of the University of Macau, and the Macau Observatory for Social Development (MOSD) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ).

The programme aimed to provide academic research opportunities for students in Macau and to enhance their research skills and interest. Twenty students, from both secondary school and university level, took part in the three-month programme and formed seven research groups. Topics included workplace habits, the use of mobile phones before going to sleep among young people, and studies of the local community, etc. The results were presented at the event, and excellent articles and outstanding students were also published and selected at the closing ceremony.
