In order to deepen education and scientific research cooperation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and promote innovative development, a delegation from Guangzhou University visited the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao on the 27th of March, 2025. The two parties conducted in-depth discussions on co-building classes and recruiting high-quality talents, jointly exploring a new chapter in the coordinated development of higher education.
The Guangzhou University delegation was led by Professor Tang Xuan, Director of the International Office (Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office), and included Associate Professor Zhu Hui, Deputy Dean of the School of Management, and Xia Taohua, Deputy Dean of the School of International Education. The University of Saint Joseph delegation was led by Professor Jenny Lao-Phillips, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law, Prof. Sergio Gomes, Head of the Department of Business Administration, Dr. Michael Ha, Assistant Professor from the same Faculty, and David Yang Chengdong.
At the meeting, the two universities had in-depth exchanges focusing on jointly building classes and recruiting high-quality talents. After the meeting, the Guangzhou University delegation visited the Ilha Verde campus to learn about the teaching facilities and teaching and research environment.
This meeting laid a solid foundation for future cooperation between the two institutions. Both entities will continue to promote the implementation of specific projects and jointly inject new impetus into talent training and academic development in the Greater Bay Area.
