The Youth Association of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR and USJ played a badminton friendly match on September 9, 2022.
To celebrate Teacher’s Day and Mid-Autumn Festival, the Youth Association of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR visited the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Ilha Verde campus in the evening on the 9th of September 2022. and played a badminton friendly match with the USJ students and staff in order to promote wellbeing and work life balance.
The guests were well received by the Senior Management and Deans from several faculties including Vice-Rector Prof. Keith Morrison, Administrator Dr. Alejandro Salcedo Garcia, Dean of the Faculty of Religious Studies and Philosophy Prof. Franz Gassner, Dean of the School of Education Prof. Rochelle Ge, and Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Jacky Ho.
After the reception, Prof. Morrison, on behalf of the University, led the group of guests to visit the student lounge where a student activity for Mid-Autumn Festival was held at the same time. Members of the Youth Association had a sincere and joyful exchange with our students, including those who newly came from Mainland China, before the game commenced.
More than twenty players from both parties joined this friendly game, mainly in doubles, for nearly two consecutive hours. The teams tried their best and demonstrated great sportsmanship and are expecting more gatherings in the future.
