The gathering event provided an opportunity for Social Work students to interact with alumni and gain valuable insights into the career of social work.

The Catholic Foundation for Higher Education – University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Macao, with the sponsorship of Macao Foundation, organised a gathering event for the year-4 students of the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) programme on the 21st June. The event provided an opportunity for students to interact with alumni and gain valuable insights into the career of social work.

The gathering commenced with two esteemed alumni, including Tommy Im and Joe Lam, who graduated from BSW in 2014 and 2019, respectively, and are currently renowned professionals in the field of social work, sharing their personal experiences and career journeys. Their engaging talks provided the graduates with a deeper understanding of the challenges and rewards associated with a career in social work.

Following the informative sharing session, the graduates were divided into two groups. Each group had the privilege of participating in a mock consultation session facilitated by the alumni. This hands-on experience allowed the graduates to apply their knowledge and skills in a practical setting, while receiving valuable feedback and guidance from experienced professionals. A delightful lunch gathering was held after the consultation sessions. The event brought together students, professors, and alumni, fostering a vibrant atmosphere for further exchanges and networking opportunities.
