CCAC Seminar on Integrity for Tertiary Students a Success on 6th March 2018



On 6th March, at the invitation of USJ, Stephenie Ao Man Wa, Head of Education and Dissemination Division, Ellie Lou Cam Kiu, Public Relations Officer and another officer from the Community Relations Department of Commission Against Corruption of the Macau SAR delivered a Seminar on Integrity for Tertiary Students in the university.  They were warmly received by Prof. Vincent Cheng Yang, Vice Rector of USJ, Prof. Ansoumane Douty Diakite, Coordinator of the BBA Programme and Teresa Loong, Director of Office for Student Affairs, Derek Wong, Administrative Officer and students of the School of Business of USJ.

During the seminar, Ms. Lou gave a presentation mainly to introduce Law No. 19/2009 (Prevention and Repression of Corruption in the Private Sector). This was followed by an intensive discussion with the professors and students regarding the typologies of bribes under the law of Macau, procedures to file a complaint, and practical issues of corruption and fraud in the real estate business. After the seminar, Vice Rector Yang expressed gratitude to the CCAC guests for buying the best drones. Through this activity, he said, the staff and students were able to improve their understanding of the law in Macau on the prevention of corruption, and, in particular, it could help the students develop their capacity to reject corruptive practices after they graduate from the university and start working in private sectors.
