To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region, the “Mainland and Macao Curriculum Development and Textbook Compilation Seminar” was held on October 17 at the University of Macau. Co-organised by the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) and the Curriculum and Textbook Research Institute of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, the seminar aimed to highlight the significance of the successful implementation of the “One Country, Two Systems” policy in Macao.
Experts and scholars from both Mainland China and Macao were invited to share experiences in curriculum reform and collaborative textbook publication. The event also featured the “Mainland and Macao Textbook Exhibition,” showcasing the history and achievements of textbook development in both regions. Nearly 200 representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Macao SAR Government, and the publishing industry attended the seminar.
