DLCRE/GEGCLEAR project and DSEDJ co-organised a 12-hour teacher Advanced Training Program for kindergarten teachers from May to July 2023.
The Domingos Lam Centre for Research in Education (DLCRE)/GEG Chinese Literacy Development Scheme (GEGCLEAR) project and DSEDJ co-organised a 12-hour teacher Advanced Training Program for kindergarten teachers from May to July 2023. A total of 95 kindergarten teachers participated in this program.
The ‘Early Childhood Education Professional Development Advanced Course: Early Literacy Support’ was instructed by Dr. Miranda Mak, Assistant Professor of the School of Education from the University of Saint Joseph, and other professional speakers from the project. This course introduced the support program’s conceptual framework, assessment mechanisms, teaching methods and techniques to prepare teachers implementing the program.
After the completion of 24 hours of basic and advanced trainings, teachers are accredited by the GEGCLEAR project to implement the support program.
