Prof. Ivan Arraut of the Faculty of Business and Law of USJ delivered a presentation at Kochi University of Technology and conducted discussions at Osaka University during a recent Research Tour in Japan between July 23 – 26, 2024.



Prof. Ivan Arraut of the USJ’s Faculty of Business and Law delivered a public lecture at Kochi University of Technology (KUT) on July 23rd, 2024, where he explained how the physics of the 21st century evolved and how powerful it is for solving not only fundamental problems but also specific social, financial and economic mathematical problems. Prof. Arraut also explained how scientists can simultaneously use their background to solve fundamental and practical problems. He also explained how to be an efficient scientist.

During the visit, Prof. Arraut also conducted research discussions at Osaka University (“Handai” in Japanese) on July 22nd, where he also visited the blackboard of Hideki Yukawa, the first Japanese Nobel Prize winner in Physics (1949). The same laboratory was also the office of Prof. Yoichiro Nambu, Japanese Nobel Prize winner in Physics (2008), where Prof. Arraut undertook his PhD degree and graduated in 2014.
