ISE/USJ successfully held the 42nd Macao Green Week Carnival!
The 42nd Macao Green Week Carnival, held on March 18 and 19, was a huge success, drawing enthusiastic participation from the community. The event was a showcase for green initiatives, and participants showed a strong interest in all activities.
The USJ Institute of Science and Environment’s (ISE) booths, organised by Prof. Karen Tagulao with the help of USJ/ISE’s staff and students, focused on the importance of wetlands, including mangroves, microalgae, microorganisms, freshwater and marine ecosystems, water management/conscious water usage, sustainable use of the oceans and sustainable fisheries. Visitors to the booths, young and old, gained valuable insights into these crucial areas and left with a greater appreciation for the role of sustainable practices in protecting the environment.
The Green Week Carnival’s success reflected the community’s commitment to sustainability and the environment. The event theme, “Passing on the love of nature to build a beautiful city together,” was embraced by attendees, who left motivated to continue supporting green initiatives in Macao.
We thank all who participated in the event and look forward to continuing our efforts toward a more sustainable and greener Macao.
